  1. "This season, focus with me on creating, not acquiring. On loving your neighbor and your family. On making memories, not on making a bigger pile under the tree."

Husband and I have an ever burgeoning flock of children, in-law children and grandchildren. Even at $25 per person, including our still living parents, the cost was prohibitive.

To date, for the G-kids, I have knitted seven animal shaped scarves, and am currently on the fifth of seven matching hats. G-kid #8 will get a hat as well plus a small hand made toy. Husband is making things as well. The adult children are looking forward to their joint gift (they already know what it is) that will save us at least 50% of the cost.

Black Friday? We keep our budget in the black by creating and making instead of spending.
